LANSING – State Representative Deb Kennedy (D-Brownstown) is inviting residents to join her at her first coffee hour to enjoy a cup of coffee and share their ideas and concerns.
The coffee hour is set for Monday, Jan. 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at P.T. Christoff's, 22900 Allen Road in Woodhaven.
Kennedy is the new State Representative for the 23rd House District, which covers Brownstown, Flat Rock, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile, Huron Township, Rockwood, Sumpter Township and Woodhaven.
"Talking with the people who live in our community about issues that are important to them and their families is a vital part of my job," Kennedy said. "As the voice of our working families in our State Capitol, it's essential that I reach out to our residents to listen to their concerns. I'll take those concerns and ideas to Lansing with me so that I can do a good job of representing our working families as I fight to create more good-paying jobs and get our economy back on track."
